Shetek Area Water and Sewer CommissionMinutes from the September 9, 2003 Meeting 

Members Present:  Dean McDaniel, Larry Mechtenberg, LeRoy Biren, Dave Marks, Keith Johnson, Dean Salmon.

Support Staff Present: Chris Hansen, Glen Cook and Mike Lynch - Bonestroo & Associates

Guests Present: Ed DeVine, Curt Christensen, Ray Hansen, Tony Haper, Harriett Reed, Liz Foreman, Vern Hogen, Steve Harms.

Meeting called to order by Pres. Dean McDaniel at 3:10.

  → Motion (03-09-09a) Minutes of August 13, 2003 meeting approved on motion by Larry Mechtenberg, seconded by Dave Marks.

Chris Hansen gave treasurers report.  In addition to printed financial report a bill for $14.80 was presented to pay for booklets for board members, a bill for $1281.50 to pay for publishing records, and a bill from Bonestroo for $2,774.78 for meetings and funding applications.

   → Motion (03-09-09b) Motion by Larry Mechtenberg, seconded by Keith Johnson and passed to approve report and bills presented.

Glen Cook and Mike Lynch represented Bonestroo consultants and presented use and growth projects for the proposed sewer system.  Explained what the survey stakes were for and presented each board member with maps.  Some questions from guests were answered.

Board members present were issued binders with past meeting minutes and ordinances.

  October 4th has been set as date for engineer's to present projected working plans for the proposed sewer.  Optional date would be Oct 11th.

   → Motion (03-09-09c) by Larry Mechtenberg, seconded by Keith Johnson and passed, to purchase postage and cards to advised residents and property owners of the Oct 4^th meeting.

Next meeting on October 3, at 3:00 PM to meet with engineers-consultants, prior to the Oct 4th meeting with property owners.

  Consultants-Engineers were instructed to provide costs for including Schreier's campground into the central sewer system. 

   → Motion (03-09-09d) Motion by Dave Marks, seconded by Keith Johnson and passed to extend until January 1, 2004, Shetek Ordinance #1 and #2 effective date. 

   → Motion (03-09-09e) Motion to adjourn meeting by Larry Mechtenberg seconded by Dave VanMeveren. Secretary Dean Salmon
