FRIENDS OF MURRAY COUNTY PARKS
The Friends of Murray County Parks is a non-profit organization, formed under the Minnesota Parks and Trails Council.  
The group was formed by the Murray County Parks and Recreation Committee and Murray County Tourism Committee to solicit funds for the continued development of Murray County parks.  Click HERE for a donation form to help with a project in your favorite Murray County Park.

Forman Acres Southeast side of Lake Shetek, adjacent to Shetek State Park. Accessed by County Road 37. One acre in size. Boat landing, dock, and restroom facilities. For a map to this location, please click HERE.
   
Lake Sarah East East side of Lake Sarah on U.S. Hwy. 59. 1.6 acres in size. Boat landing, dock, picnic shelter, playground equipment, and restroom facilities. For a map to this location, please click HERE.
   
Lake Sarah West West side of Lake Sarah off County Road 30. Over ten acres. Boat landing, dock, swimming area, dressing rooms, four picnic shelters, playground equipment, and multiple restroom facilities. Overnight camping with electrical hookups. 8 camping sites available on a first come, first serve basis.  Located on the West side of Lake Sarah, off of Murray County Highway 30 and County Park Road 100, near 211th Street.
   
Lime Lake Park South side of Lime Lake just west of Avoca. Accessed by County Road 6. Four acres. Boat landing, dock, fishing area off dam, picnic shelter, 3 campsites with electric hookups and restroom facilities.

Marsh's Landing On Valhalla Island on the west side of Lake Shetek. Accessed by Valhalla Drive. Boat landing, docks, handicapped accessible fishing pier, picnic shelter, and restroom facilities. For a map to this location, please click HERE.

Seven Mile Lake Park West side of Fulda First Lake off South Lafayette Avenue. Over 10 acres. Boat landing, dock, swimming beach, two picnic shelters, playground equipment, ball field, and multiple restroom facilities with showers. 13 overnight camping sites with electrical hookups. Swensen Park

East side of Current Lake off Minnesota Highway 91. Ten acres. Boat landing, dock, two picnic shelters, playground equipment, ball field, and multiple restroom facilities. 10 overnight camping sites with electrical hookups. Lakes Area Citizen Corps of Murray County 
 
A component of the President’s USA Freedom Corps, Citizen Corps creates opportunities for individuals to volunteer in their local community. The Lakes Area Citizen Corps is a way to get people involved in our community and make Lake Shetek and Lake Sarah safer, stronger, and better prepared to respond to all types of disasters. Citizen Corps is about engaging individuals through education, training, and volunteer service.

The Murray County Emergency Management serves as the host agency for the our Citizen Corps. Through this partnership, the associated Citizen Corps programs, such as the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program, Neighborhood Watch, Medical Reserve Corps provide important training and skill development opportunities for all citizens, businesses, and community groups on emergency preparedness and public safety.
